The Hexham Abbey band

We currently have 24 full members of the Guild. We have an AGM in February or March at which our officers are elected and at which people may join the Guild. The recently updated rules of the Guild are given below for anyone who is interested.

We usually have a winter weekend trip, a few 1 day ringing outings each year, and a 1 week summer camping trip. The band has a strong social life and most ringers may be found in the Globe in Hexham after the practice on a Thursday.

Joining the band

If you are someone who lives in or near Hexham who would like to learn to ring, then get in touch with the Tower Captain, who will arrange for you to come and observe a practice or two, and discuss the level of commitment required and the practicalities of tuition.

If you are a ringer who has recently moved to the area, you would be welcome to come to one of our Thursday practices to see if you would like to join us. Follow the ringing times link.
