Hexham Abbey Ringers’ Derbyshire Trip 2006

Our trip this year was to Derbyshire. It was brilliantly organised by Anne & Neville Parkin and ran from Saturday 29^th July to Saturday 5^th August. Thanks and congratulations to Anne & Neville for an excellent trip.

(Although very busy, this campsite managed to group us all together, and provided an excellent base from which to tour the area)

11.45 – 12.45	Travel 26 miles to: ASHBOURNE, St Oswald (8), 14cwt, SK176464 (Clive) (Ground floor ring in crossing with longish draught. Quite nice bells, but several people put off. Interesting church.)
	We also have permission to ring at TISSINGTON, St Mary, (3), (Pat) No specific time booked yet
15.00 - 15.45	BAKEWELL, All Saints, (8) 17cwt, SK215685 (Steve) Parking is difficult as there is a residents parking scheme on the roads around the Church. It is suggested that we use the public car parks in town and allow 10 – 15 minutes to walk to the Church.

LUNCH: Options include: (i) Caulke Abbey Park with free parking for NT Members - Tea Rooms and space for picnics (ii) Melbourne where there are Tea Rooms and a Café.
